& Dance Building/ General Administration Building
This centre for fine arts education offers advanced teaching,
exhibition and performance facilities within two new buildings within
York University. The project facilities houses the Faculty for Fine Arts
departments for Music, Dance and Theatre, the York University Art Gallery
and the Department of Visual Arts' new student-run art gallery.
The
program includes state-of-the-art classrooms ranging from 30- to 500-seat
capacity, a 325-seat recital hall, a 325-seat proscenum theatre, a 500-seat
cinema and a 80-seat screening room, a performance halls lobby, specialized
dance and music studios.

Partnership Architects and B+H Architects as joint-venture architects
led the design team using an innovative fast-track design-build process
with PCL Constructors inc. leading the construction team. The Accolade
Project received a Bronze citation in the 2006 Design Exchange Award's
Interior Design - Commercial category, and an Honourable Mention in the
2006 Canadian Design Build Institute Design Build Award of Excellence.
